A unique evening of football coming up
Oxford United are pleased to announce a partnership with Oxford University which will involve two Town and Gown matches on one evening.
The first game will see the Oxford University Women’s team take on the Oxford United Women side.
That will be followed by Oxford University Mens team against the Oxford United Development Squad.
The matches will be held on Thursday 13th March at Iffley Road Stadium, Iffley, OX4 1EQ with a 7pm start.
Both matches will last an hour with the women’s match kicking off first.
The Town and Gown tradition first began in 1209 and involves a contest between the citizens of Oxford and the students of the University.
Admission is £3. Tickets can be purchased on the evening from Iffley Road, from the Oxford United Community Trust on 01865 337518 or from the Oxford United Womens/Development and Oxford University team captains.
All proceeds raised will go towards the Oxford United Youth and Community Trust.
