It’s not just the first team in action tbis weekend, with both the Oxford United Women’s side and the Youth Team in action as well.First up is Chris Allen’s under 18 side who take on AFC Bournemouth at the Oxford Sports and Social Club at 11am.
The youth team have started their season with a win over Cheltenham Town and a defeat at Torquay plus a cup win over Bristol Rovers and Chris Allen told us:
“We are just looking for that little bit of consistency but you tend to get that at the start of the season with a lot of new players coming into the setup and adjusting to life as full-time footballers. We are looking to mirror the shape and system that the first team play and the lads are learning all the time and doing OK.”
