United in Business Focus
As part of Oxford United’s new business club, United in Business, each member will have the opportunity to showcase their businesses. This week’s focus takes a look at a company that has a high involvement with the club - APHIS Training & Services.
Two months after the launch, United in Business now sits at 45 members consisting of small and large local Oxfordshire businesses. United in Business was put together by a group of local businessmen who shared a passion for business and Oxford United. It was apparent Oxford United were lacking an environment where local businesses could come together and do business together, as well as putting something back into the club and community.
The business club has run three unique events including the fixtures breakfast, a forum dedicated to its members, and the launch of the 2014/15 kit. The kit launch saw a number of United in Business members ‘sign up’ and one of those members was Kris Kaveney- Managing Director for APHIS. Kris has worked with the club for a number of years and has long wanted an involvement with the club from a business perspective.” I have worked with the club for a number of years and this for me, ticks a number of boxes including meeting new businesses and community involvement” he said.
APHIS Training & Services offer a wide range of comprehensive and fully certified training courses in a number of areas including Health & Safety, First Aid & Security for both Individuals and Businesses. Individuals can attend at their training centres, which are based predominantly in Oxford but also offer courses at other training sites all over the UK. "Oxford United have worked with Aphis since the beginning of the current season and I am exceptionally impressed with the quality and delivery of their training courses.
