On loan striker in Scottish squad to face Czech Republic
Oxford United’s on-loan striker Alex Jakubiak has been called up for the Scotland Under 19 side to face the Czech Republic in their International Challenge Matches.
The on-loan Watford forward has impressed since arriving at the U’s and will link up with Ricky Sbragia’s squad to take on the Czech Republic at Cappielow Park, Greenock on Tuesday 2nd September 2014; KO 7pm, and in a Behind Closed door game the following Thursday.
Alex will miss United’s JOhnstone’s Paint Trophy game at Cheltenham Town but be available for the trip to Southend the following weekend.
He told us:
“I’m always proud to be involved with Scotland and really looking forward to linking up with the squad again. They will be tough games against the Czechs but it's great experience to be involved in these sort of games."
