Annual Military Day a great success
Saturday's Military Day was a great success as Oxford United saluted the work of the Armed Forces. The annual Military Day saw attractions all around the Kassam Stadium such as bomb disposal displays, paintballing, laser guns, military vehicles, Batak walls as well as the gruelling Powerbag challenge. Supporters young and old mixed with members of the army, navy, air force and all branches of the Forces, with the Waterloo Band performing before the game and at half time.
The day saw special ticket offers including Buy One Get One Free and an Adult and Child ticket for just £10 and Marketing Manager Gerald Kelly said:
"It was good to show our support for the Military and we would like to thank everyone who came along and made it such a success. It was a team effort between the club and the Forces and it was great to see all that hard work pay off on Saturday. We look forward to next year."
