Peter Foley Tonight

Former United striker Peter Foley is this evening's guest of honour

We are very pleased to welcome former Oxford striker Peter Foley as our guest of honour for this evening's match against third-placed Exeter City (kick-off 7.45).

Peter is a local lad who played for United between 1975 and 1983, scoring 90 goals in just over 300 games. He was the first Oxford player to be top scorer in four different seasons and his goal tally put him third in the U's top-scorer charts (it was later equalled by John Aldridge and surpassed by James Constable).

Peter will be addressing supporters in the 12th Man Bar from 6.45 before appearing in the lounges and then the Christchurch Suite. He also appears in tonight's matchday magazine, asking questions posed by supporters. He told us 'I hope he [James Constable] gets his hundredth goal on Tuesday night so I can shake his hand and maybe get a photo with him!' When asked what his favourite goal was he responded 'Any goals I scored against Swindon...' You can read the full interview in today's magazine, and if you can't be here to buy one you can buy it as a download on www.matchdayfix.co.uk.
