Read About The Heed

Don't miss out on Saturday's FA Cup magazine

Gateshead make the long journey south to Oxford on Saturday for the FA Cup first round and we've produced a great matchday magazine to mark the occasion.

It may be a cut-down 32-page version but there is plenty to read for fans of both clubs. We have an insightful interview with ever-present right-back David Hunt who talks about his exploits in the FA Cup at previous clubs. There is an article looking at some of United's giant-killing exploits over the years, and a full round-up of all the weekend's other first round games involving Sky Bet League 2 clubs.

The chairman, manager and captain all have their say, while there is also a full profile of the opposition, including an extended look at their star player, goalkeeper Adam Bartlett. John Trewick features as someone who has played for both clubs, and we look back at the last time Gateshead visited the Kassam Stadium, in March 2010. There is a feature on the Heed's cult hero, Tom Callender, and while we're delving into the history books we look back 30 years to a game at Leeds United in the League Cup.

The magazine has been reduced in price to just £2 (including a copy of the Oxford Mail, while stocks last) and will be available from sellers around the ground and in the concourses. You can also download the programme to read on your PC, laptop, tablet, notebook, phone, whatever from our website at www.matchdayfix.co.uk from 1pm on Saturday afternoon.
