Ladies win again

Ladies move closer

Oxford United Ladies team goes from success to success and last night they beat Leicester City Ladies of the Midland Combination in a friendly in Leicester.

In a game that was shortened to 30 minutes each way because of the torrential rain, Lauren Allison struck twice in the second half, leaving her requiring just two more goals to notch up 50 for the season. Leicester, who play in the FA Women's Premier League Northern Division, were unable to find a response and United ran out 2-0 winners.

United's final South-West Combination match against Swindon Town has now been confirmed for Wednesday 22nd May, 6.45pm kick-off at the Oxford United Training Ground, free admission. With title competitors Keynsham Town playing their final match at Plymouth on Sunday, the U's will know what result they require to lift the league title and secure promotion. Come along and give the women your support.
