Manager's reaction at Torquay

Manager Chris Wilder spoke to Yellow Player after the U's excellent Torquay win on Saturday. Coming into the game the focus was always on getting a reaction to the defeat at home to Rotherham which they achieved in great fashion:

"I'm pleased for the players and the travelling supporters" Chris told Yellow Player. "We have talked about the reaction  that was needed and are in good nick individually and as a team.

"No disrespect to Torquay but we should have been well clear at half time. We have had good chances in the second half and are a little bit disappointed with the lead up to Torquay's goal, but I think it would have been really unjust and unfair if we hadn't come away with the win today because I think the players really deserved that.

"We seem to like the south west after winning at Exeter, Plymouth and Torquay so that's a nice treble for us. We now need to turn our focus to Tuesday and we need to work hard again because Barnet will give us a tough game too and have impressed a lot of managers this season. They will come at us and the shackles will be off because as always the pressure will be on us to win as always.

"But we must show the same qualities that we showed today in order to get the win".
