Chris Wilder on Fleetwood
Manager Chris Wilder will send his team out against Burton on Tuesday night looking to bounce back after the defeat at Fleetwood on Saturday. The U’s were well beaten by the Cod Army on Saturday, as Chris admitted after:
“We had a go but didn’t do enough at all and deserved to come away with nothing” he told Yellow Player.
“I’m not so sure about the scoreline because I think we played a massive part in contributing to our own downfall and the goals that we conceded were ridiculous. They started better than us, then I think we reorganised it a bit and got ourselves back into the game a little bit. Then in the second half we started on the front foot going and trying to get something from the game but at any level if you make mistakes like that then you’re going to get punished, and rightly so.”
United will now look to make amends tomorrow night as they welcome play-off chasing Burton:
“We have a chance on Tuesday to put it right. It was never going to be easy, especially if we didn’t bring our best game to the table, which we didn’t. They take the points but there is still a long way to go, we are still in decent nick with four wins out of five and we have got to go and make it five wins out of six on Tuesday now”.
