Monty hoping for Rovers Return

Midfielder back in training and hoping for a recall

United hope to have Lewis Montrose available for his home debut as they welcome Bristol Rovers to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.

The on-loan Gillingham midfielder has missed the last two games with a slight hamstring problem after a hugely promising first game for the U's away at Bradford. Montrose has returned to training and could be in contention as United host in-form Rovers on Saturday. Manager Chris Wilder told Yellow Player:

"He's in our thoughts. Having players like Lewis and Andy Whing available again gives you players who are real winners and will scrap for every ball, and it is good to have them coming back right now."
