Winger hopeful against the Gulls
United will wait on the fitness of Alfie Potter before naming their side to face Torquay United at the Kassam Stadium on Saturday.
The winger, who has been in scintillating form in recent weeks, missed Tuesday’s game against Dagenham and Redbridge after his hamstring tightened up in training. However two days of intensive treatment have left him hopeful of a recall as United welcome the Gulls.
First team Coach Andy Melville told Yellow Player:
“We will give Alfie as much time as possible. You don’t take risks with these sort of injures but he has responded well and hopefully he will be OK.”
Liam Davis, who made a surprise return to action on Tuesday for the first time this season could also be included again as United welcome eighth placed Torquay.
It’s a big game for the U’s and tickets are available from www.oufctickets.co.uk, or from 01865 337533, or in person from the ticket office.
