Alfie is back in training as U's prepare for Chesterfield
United have been boosted by the return of Alfie Potter to training ahead of their trip to Chesterfield on Saturday.
Potter has been sidelined with a tight hamstring since United's 2-0 win at Barnet in the first round of the FA Cup over a fortnight ago but has been back with the first team this week.
The injury saw him miss the home games against Dagenham & Redbridge and Torquay United but the winger, who has been in outstanding form so far this season, is hoping to play a part as United travel north to the Proact Stadium.
Chris Wilder said: "Alfie was excellent against Wycombe and played a big part against Barnet. He is back in training and we are hoping he will be involved at Chesterfield. We will see if he suffers any reaction tomorrow before we set off."
However, United will still be without Damian Batt, Deane Smalley and Michael Duberry as they continue to recover from injury.
