Oxford United U18s travel to Sutton United this weekend (11:00am kick off) as they look to get back to winning ways.
It’s been a tough couple of weeks for the young U’s, with defeats against AFC Wimbledon and local rivals Swindon Town. But on the back of yesterday's U17 victory against Portsmouth, confidence is starting to come back for the squad. This weekend they will be travelling to Sutton United to try and end Sutton’s unbeaten run.
The U’s, who are currently 10th in the league with six points from the first four games, will be aiming to climb the table on Saturday after a couple of recent setbacks.
The squad has also received an injury boost for the weekend, with goalkeeper Ajae Patel returning to the squad after a lengthy injury that kept the shot stopper out for several months.
The hosts come into this one unbeaten so far this season after victories against Forest Green Rovers and Portsmouth in the league and a recent 2-0 win away to AFC Wimbledon in the cup. While their confidence is high, the U’s will be looking to repeat the result from last season when Jack Lee’s 96th-minute winner gave the U's all three points.
