Oxford United U18s look to get back to winning ways as they return to league action with a trip to Gillingham tomorrow.
The young U’s had their first setback of the year on Tuesday, getting knocked out of the Youth Alliance Cup semi-finals on penalties by Bromley. This loss was their first of 2025 and their first at home since mid-September.
While disappointing, United have no chance to dwell on it, with a crunch league clash this Saturday against a tough Gillingham side. With just five league matches remaining for United, Saturday will be their toughest challenge left, coming up against a side who sit fourth in the league, behind AFC Wimbledon in third only on goal difference.
United have the chance to make it 14 league wins in a row and get closer to a league title. They sit seven points below Luton Town in first, but they have three games in hand over them, meaning it’s all in United's hands.
The game kicks off at 12:00pm in Gillingham.
