Oxford United look to continue their excellent away form when they travel to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
United have enjoyed back to back wins on the road at Charlton and Carlisle and look to bounce back after a home defeat against Barnsley on Tuesday.
“We have 19 games left now” Des Buckingham told iFollow. “19 opportunities to pick up as many points as we can. Whatever the team looks like on Saturday they will be going out there to try and put in a good performance and therefore get a good result.
“We were disappointed on Tuesday and we will look at a few things. We won’t change too much in terms of our approach. Whether home or away we want to play a style of football that is going to take time for us to get to, but we are already not a million miles away.
“We are aware of the opposition, we know how Bristol Rovers like to play but we won’t move too far away from how we want to do things.
“Since I have been here the away support and the numbers we have taken have been a real show of just how big this team can be. They will be there again on Saturday in full voice. We took a good following to Charlton, we took 600 all the way to Carlisle which is a fantastic effort, and we have come away with two wins from those games.
“When you see how many people give up their time to come and support the players, and the way they do that, it is so important. It will be again on Saturday, and for every single one of the games going forwards”.
