Liam and Staff Support Prostate United

The coaching staff at Oxford United will be putting their best feet forward this month as they take part in Prostate United.

Head Coach Liam Manning, Assistant Chris Hogg, Goalkeeping Coach Lewis Price and Head of Performance Harry Routledge have pledged to walk, run, cycle or swim 5km every day throughout October to raise awareness and funds for Prostate Cancer UK

Prostate cancer kills one man every 45 minutes - that's half a football match. Liam and the team will join thousands of fans, united against the most common cancer in men.

Liam told oufc.co.uk:

“Prostate Cancer is something that is curable if caught early enough and we want to play our part in getting that message across. I started on Sunday, just a walk with my dogs; it doesn’t have to be strenuous. But I found it gave me thinking time and it gave me a little time to think about the important things in life.

“The challenge will be to find time to do it every day, but that’s relevant in its own way. There will be people out there saying ’I cant find time to get myself checked out’. Find time, please. It could save your life.”

Sponsoring could help fund lifesaving research for men and their families affected by this disease. You can find the OUFC justgiving page HERE
