This week, our Youth Team were visited by Dr Mark Prince from the Kiyan Prince Foundation to deliver a workshop on the psychology for high performance.
Dr Prince shared his emotive story, chronicling his upbringing, sporting career, family & tragedy that has impacted on how he processes circumstances into outcomes.
Mark was a boxing champion, and had a son, Kiyan Prince, who was murdered when just starting a career in football. Since, Mark has launched The Kiyan Prince Foundation that aims to support young people in challenging circumstances and brings people together to end violence.
Head of Academy Player Care Eddie Odhiambo told us:
“Mark is a truly inspirational character. His message was felt in the room and I’m sure that our players will draw on his thought process ideas in the future.”
