Oxford United’s young goalkeeper Eddie Brearey has joined North Leigh on a month’s loan.
Eddie, a first year professional, will link up with Eddie Odhiambo’s MIllers ahead of their game at home to Hanwell Town on Saturday.
He is the third young keeper to go out on loan to gain experience with Kie Plumley currently at Bowers & Pitsea and second year scholar Fraser Barnsley at Evesham, meaning that first year Monty Marriott has been in goal for the Under 19 team so far this season.
Goalkeeping Coach Wayne Brown said
“They are all excellent young goalkeepers and push each other in training all the time. There is nothing quite like playing regular competitive senior football so these loans are hopefully going to help them develop as well as helping the teams they are at.”
