Following discussions between Oxford United, the EFL and the medical advisory bodies the club would like to clarify the situation regarding covid protocols at matches.
The safety of supporters, staff and players remains a priority and we therefore ask all fans planning on attending matches to read and abide by the following guidelines.
COVID certification
The Government recently announced that all crowds of over 10,000 would require certification; evidence of a PCR or rapid lateral flow test taken within 48 hours of the event.
This applies to the expected crowd at games, not the capacity of the stadium.
With this in mind the club will announce a formal requirement for certification on a game by game basis. Saturday’s home game against Wigan Athletic is not currently expected to have a crowd of 10,000 or above and certification is not required but we strongly recommend that fans test before attending.
Do not attend a game if you have any of the following symptoms – a high temperature, a new or continuous cough, a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste.
It is critical that everybody observes the following key behaviours:
HANDS – Wash your hands regularly and for at least 20 seconds.
FACE – We strongly advise that you wear a face covering when on the concourse or in inside areas, and whilst moving around the Kassam Stadium.
SPACE – Try to stay two metres apart from people you do not live with, where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place e.g. wearing face coverings.
