PREVIEW Oxford United v Lincoln City

Oxford United welcome Lincoln City to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday in Sky Bet League 1 (3pm)

TEAM NEWS
The U's rested a number of players for Tuesday night's Carabao Cup tie at QPR and Jack Stevens, Anthony Forde and Jordan Thorniley all return to the squad while Matty Taylor, Cameron Brannagan and Gavin Whyte will be hoping to return to the starting XI after being on the bench in midweek.

United have injury doubts over Ryan Williams, James Henry and Billy Bodin while Sam Long and Jamie Hanson remain unavailable.

THE OPPOSITION
The Imps started the season with a draw at Gillingham then won their first home game, beating Fleetwood 2-1. Their next two games have both ended in 1-0 defeats, at home to Bolton and away at Wycombe to leave Michael Appleton's team with four points so far as they try to bounce back from their play-off final defeat at the hands of Blackpool.

Chris Maguire misses out through injury but forward Anthony Scully was the hero in midweek with a hat-trick in the Papa John's Trophy to help his side to a 3-2 win over Manchester United's under 21s.

He said: “It was a good performance from the lads, we created lots of chances and could have had two or three more goals. It was good to keep hitting the back of the net, hopefully the goals will come now for us. A few people who needed a rest got it, those who needed minutes got it, and we’re all really looking forward to Saturday now.”
