Oxford United are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Jack Stevens has signed a one year extension to his contract with the U’s.
22-year-old Jack has been Simon Eastwood’s understudy for the last year and impressed when stepping up to play the final few games last season. He will now be looking to push on and establish himself in Karl Robinson’s plans for the future, as he told us:
“I’m really happy at the club and excited for the future. It’s great to get it sorted. The gaffer and staff are excellent and it is a great to know that they have confidence in me. I feel I am improving as a keeper and want to keep pushing myself all the time and hopefully get more first team opportunities.”
Karl Robinson told us
“We have every faith in Jack and rate him really highly. He is a little bit unlucky in having Easty ahead of him but we know what Jack can do and we can all see that he is determined to take his chance next time it comes around, which is fantastic for us.”
We'll have an interview with Jack in the very first Official Podcast- coming soon....
