Oxford United will be fully reunited once again today as training resumes.
Every player and member of staff is tested twice a week at the moment and last week saw two people missing after they tested positive for Covid-19.
However, after self-isolating for ten days they are now clear to rejoin the group and will go straight into match action as the U’s play a behind closed doors friendly later today.
That follows the latest batch of testing in which everyone received a negative result. There will be further temperature checks and monitoring today but Karl Robinson told us:
“Everyone is available and as I said the other week we just have to accept the ups and downs at the moment and adjust our plans as we go along. The two positive tests might actually have helped because it just brought home to us how anyone can have it and not know- both of them were completely asymptomatic and felt fine, and we have emphasised the need for all of us to stick to the protocols which we have put in place.
“Training has been good and we have had a couple of internal games so now we will move that on and play an away game today, not just for the fitness but also to get players used to travelling, having their own pre-match and recovery and being in unfamiliar situations.
“We’re looking forward to the week and seeing what new challenges come our way.”
