Oxford United welcome Blackpool to the Kassam Stadium on Saturday looking to make up for lost time after most clubs in League 1 stole ground in their absence over the last week.
United are in eighth but face a big week with Blackpool followed by Newcastle in the FA Cup and then a trip to rivals Peterborough next weekend.
“They are all important games “Karl Robinson told iFollow today. “No getting away from it but it’s a bit weird now to be the ones with games in hand in the league. We have a busy February but we won’t prioritise one game over the other. Newcastle was great last week but we have had a really good week’s training since then and we’ll be ready for Blackpool on Saturday.
“I went to see them play the other night at Wycombe and they have got a very good team with loads of endeavour and probably one of the best Managers in the league: Simon always seems to do well wherever he goes so it is going to be a good game for us.
“Our own results recently have been a little bit unfair. We felt we deserved more out of the Doncaster and Gillingham games and the Ipswich game became a farce really so we feel a little hard done by in recent games. We can’t control what happens in other games around the country but we can look after ourselves and we can also hopefully bring players in and make ourselves better as well.
“I know what I want with the Transfetr Window closing but I expect it to go right to the wire on Friday. People always question it and say why do clubs always leave it until the last minute but sometimes that’s out of our control. In reality a load of Premier League teams leave it late and we are right at the bottom of the pile and have to wait for things above us to happen. But we’ll wait and see what materialises.”
