Oxford United continue their pre-season with a trip down the A34 on Tuesday night to take on Eastleigh.
After a gruelling week with five games in quick succession it is likely to be a chance for United’s young guns to take on the Spitfires, as Karl Robinson told iFollow:
“It’s important that the fans know that we’re not going to take a number of players with us and it will be a very very young team. Only those who haven’t hit a certain number of minutes in games so far will go with us. If they have played 200 minutes already then they won’t play.
“Alex Gorrin completed 55 km last week in games alone! He’s not the only one over 50 and some of them looked like it at Woking- but it was all about getting the legs going and completing the week.
“We will train properly all week and start getting some shape and organisation into them and then we will get going again with two great friendlies against Championship sides on Saturday and Tuesday. Rob Hall may play a few minutes on Tuesday and then hopefully we have everyone fit for Saturday against QPR.”
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased from the club shop at Eastleigh on Tuesday priced at £10 for adults, £5 for over 60s and Students with valid ID, £3 for Under 18s and under 7s free of charge (but will still need a ticket to gain entry to the ground).
