Oxford United should be boosted by the return to training of two of their more experienced players later this week.
Midfielder James Henry, top scorer for the last two seasons, limped off in the second half of a friendly at Woking on Saturday but initial reports suggest no long term injury and Henry should be able to resume training later in the week.
Meanwhile striker Jamie Mackie is also due to take part in training on Thursday and Friday after a back problem meant he missed all five of last week’s friendlies.
Mackie could be in contention to play some part in Saturday's home friendly against his former club QPR but will be eased back into action and may be saved until next week’s home friendly against Fulham or even the following Saturday’s game at Solihull Moors.
A reminder that tickets for Saturday’s game against QPR have been reduced in all areas and can be purchased right now from oufctickets.co.uk
