Oxford United striker Jon Obika is likely to miss the rest of the season.
Jon damaged his Anterior Cruciate Ligament during a friendly game at one of his former clubs, Swindon Town, on Tuesday afternoon and will see a specialist this afternoon after a scan revealed the initial damage. He is likely to be out for seven months. Manager Karl Robinson said
"It is terrible news for Jon. He is one of the nicest guys I have ever met in football, a genuinely good person but it looks like his season is over.
"It was in a behind closed doors friendly and he had been giving it his all, like he always does, but then there was a fairly innocuous challenge on half way and he went down in obvious discomfort.
"We got him to hospital and he has been for a scan but it doesn't look great and all we can do is wish him a speedy recovery and do all we can to help him get back playing again".
