Oxford United are pleased to be able to confirm the opposition for our pre-season tour of Ireland.
Following the success of previous trips to Austria, Spain and Portugal the U’s will fly over to Ireland for ten days of intensive training which will include three matches in quick succession.
On Monday 9th July they will play Portmarnock AFC 24 hours later, on Tuesday 10th, Karl Robinson’s squad will travel out of the capital and head for Longford Town of the Airtricity League First Division, and they will then return to Dublin to take on UCD at the UCD Bowl.
Karl told us:
“They are three good games for us to start with. It’s during their season so we know we will be playing teams in good shape and that will be a test for us. Everyone will get game time over the three days and we know there will be a lot of fans out there to enjoy themselves and support us so it’s a week we are really looking forward to.”
Keep an eye on this site where we will be announcing more pre-season games over the next few days.
