This week’s matchday programme has a story behind it…
Communications Manager Chris Williams, speaking exclusively to himself, said:
“We take great pride in our match programme and it is always a team effort. This week the Editor, Martin Brodetsky has been recovering from a routine operation, and we’re pleased to say he is doing well. Usually I would step in to do the programme. But we also like to help other people: a lot of very talented youngsters have come in and been part of the media team before going on to greater things. They watch and learn from us and then they know how not to do it.
“Two years ago a young man called Liam Potter came in for work experience and made a big impression. He has been back several times and written for the match programme and website and worked with me on a few other projects, so we thought it would be fantastic experience to ask him be guest editor for one issue. We contacted his tutors at college and they loved the idea so he has been in all week working extremely hard to produce the programme. It looks great and he should be very proud of what he has done.”
The match programme this week features interviews with Wes Thomas and Xemi, the views of Darryl Eales, Pep Clotet and Curtis Nelson plus we catch up with James Constable and Manor Hero Dick Lucas. We go hot air ballooning in Bristol and there is a fantastic exclusive interview with Oxford fan Jack Cummings after his bronze medal at the Invictus Games.
The match programme is available all around the ground priced £3 with a copy of the Oxford Mail included while stocks last. You can also download every issue at matchdayfix.com/oufc.
