Greig to leave the U's - club statement
Oxford United today announced Managing Director Greig Box Turnbull has stepped down and will leave the club at the end of the season.
Greig will remain in post to ensure a smooth transition and to assist with planning for next season.
He will retain his position as a Trustee of the club's charity, the Oxford United Community Trust next season.
Executive Chairman Darryl Eales said: "Greig has done an excellent job for the football club and I am grateful for his significant contribution. We have firmly established the club in League One, taking it to the next level both on and off the pitch and Greig has played a big part in this progression.
"Greig has become a good friend and I am delighted that he is staying on as a Trustee of the charity. We all wish him well for the future and seeing him around the club in a regular basis.
Greig said: "It's been an honour and a privilege to represent the club I love this season.
"Much has been achieved in many areas of the club over the past 12 months, especially building a more professional infrastructure able to cope with the progression of the club on the pitch.
"I will be leaving the club in a stronger place and in an excellent position to continue the amazing progress over the past couple of years. I have a great relationship with Darryl and Michael and wish them and all of the staff every success in the future.
"I'm looking forward to continuing as a Trustee of the Community Trust and building on the progress it has made this season.”
