Voting ends today for the Supporters' Player of the Year award
Today is the last day of voting for the Wellers Oxford United Supporters’ Player of the Season.
Our first campaign back in League One for 15 years has certainly been a memorable one. Michael Appleton’s side have pushed for the play-offs, have had yet more success in the Checkatrade Trophy, reaching the final at Wembley, and of course the unforgettable league double over Swindon.
Amongst this were victories over higher league opposition Birmingham City in the League Cup, as well as FA Cup victories over Rotherham United and Newcastle United, earning the U’s a trip to Premier League Middlesbrough where 3,300 yellow-clad supporters followed.
This is your last chance to vote for your player of season - the player you believe has contributed the most to these outstanding moments in Oxford United’s history.
The Andrew Knapton award will be presented on the pitch before the final home game against Shrewsbury on Sunday 30th April. Andrew was the voice of the London Road but sadly passed away in the summer of 2001. Friends and family collected funds to purchase the magnificent trophy that bears his name.
