Over 140 girls attend Oxford United Women's Sister Club tournament
Last Saturday Oxford United Women held a tournament for its Sister Clubs at the training ground in Roman Way.
OUWFC players Demi Lambourne, Riva Casley, Ellie Noble and Lauren Allison visited for the day and answered questions, signed autographs, and handed out medals.
The Sister Club teams involved in the day were Thatcham Town Ladies and Girls FC, Kidlington Youth FC, Tower Hill FC, Harwell and Hendred FC, Crendon Corthintians FC and Quarry Rovers FC. With special guests Summertown Stars FC and Cumnor Minors.
In total 18 teams participated, which included over 140 girls.
Finalists for the under-8/under-9 age group were Thatcham Town Ladies and Girls U9 and Cumnor Minors U9; in the U10/U11 age group Quarry Rovers U11 and Kidlington U11 were the finalists, while Tower Hill U12 and Kidlington Youth U12 were the finalists in the under-12/under-13 group.
Everyone involved had a great time playing football in the sun.
