Max heads north on loan
Oxford United goalkeeper Max Crocombe has been recalled from his loan at Barnet and joined Southport of the National League on a three month loan.
Max, 22, played 5 games while on loan at Barnet but returned to the U’s today to complete the paperwork on a loan at Southport in time to play in their game at Kidderminster Harriers tomorrow.
He told us:
“I enjoyed my time at Barnet but it was always a temporary move as cover for injuries and suspensions. This will be a longer loan and is all about gaining more experience in competitive matches.
”Ultimately it is about getting that experience to come back to Oxford and fight for my place, but in the meantime help Southport get some positive results.”
