Support Oxford United Women as they take on Doncaster Rovers Belles at Abingdon United
Following the success of the England Lionesses at the Women's World Cup in Canada, you can get your own live experience of the women's game as Oxford United Women take on Doncaster Rovers Belles at Northcourt Road, Abingdon on Sunday (2pm kick-off).Doncaster are second in the WSL 2, level on points with leaders Reading, and have no injury worries going into the game following their 5-0 thrashing of bottom club Watford last weekend. United are in a rich vein of form themselves, having won 2-1 at Barnet on Sunday with a last-minute goal from substitute Laura Low, to make it just one defeat from their last six matches. This sees United sixth in the table, but just two points off third place.
Opposition coach Glen Harris said: "It'll be a tough game. Oxford took points from Reading and are a good young side. I've watched a few clips of them and they're a decent side and will be a tough proposition for us."
United manager Les Taylor told us: "It's going to be a really difficult game because Doncaster Belles are one of the better teams in this division and are fighting for promotion. We'll give it a really good crack though and with the attitude that's running through the team there could well be a surprise in store."
United have a fully fit squad to choose from and this promises to be a great game. With no football on Saturday, this is an ideal opportunity to tap in to the feelgood factor surrounding the club and practise your songs for next season!
The game is played at the Northcourt, Northcourt Road, Abingdon OX14 1PL and admission costs £5 for adults and £2 for under-16s and over-65s. Match programmes are available for £2.
