Ray Graydon is our guest of honour for the visit of Portsmouth on Saturday
This Saturday, United entertain Portsmouth in the club's first game of 2014. As part of the entertainment on offer we have former United player and coach Ray Graydon as our guest of honour.Ray, who joined United from Washington Diplomats following a successful spell at Aston Villa, made 47 appearances for the U's between October 1979 and April 1981, scoring 10 goals along the way. After hanging up his boots he joined the club's coaching staff and was first team coach throughout United's Glory Years of the mid-1980s, working alongside first Jim Smith and then Maurice Evans. He later coached in China and managed at Walsall.
You can hear Ray speak about his career in the 12th Man Bar at 1.30 and he will later be in the lounges. You can also read a fascinating question-and-answer interview with him in Saturday's matchday magazine, which will be available on the day for just £3.
