Show your colours at Burton on Saturday
Oxford United fans are planning to create a special atmosphere at Burton Albion on Saturday - with the match being designated as a Yellow Army Flag Away Day.
U's followers are encouraged to bring flags, banners, scarves, balloons and streamers, to help create a dazzling display of yellow and blue and a carnival atmosphere to cheer on the team.
With United unbeaten in their League Two campaign so far, it is anticipated Oxford fans will travel in good numbers to the Pirelli Stadium.
The Yellow Army has secured permission from Burton Albion to take banners and big waving flags into the ground. While special permission has also been granted to allow flag poles to be used when the teams run onto the pitch.
Joe Nicholls, of the Yellow Army, said: "Away games are always a great buzz and Oxford fans always do the team proud by getting right behind them. Portsmouth and Torquay away were brilliant days out and were enjoyed by every United fan. We want to keep the momentum going and are appealing to fans to help make the atmosphere even better by bringing a flag, banner, scarf, or balloons so we can create a great display and support the players and show everyone just how much we love being part of Oxford United.
"It's about expressing the spirit of the club and the Yellow Army - so get involved, tell a mate and bring a friend. We chose Burton for this event because the main away end is a terrace with a low roof, so it's ideal for a great atmosphere and it's only £15 to get in - so make it loud and make it proud."
