United awarded League Two award for 2012/13
Oxford United are proud to announce that their Matchday Magazine has been voted npower League 2 Programme of the Year in the Football League awards.
The award was voted for by all League Two clubs, who were asked to nominate a top three programmes in their division. Content, design and value for money were all taken into consideration when clubs voted, and the Football League announced the top five in the division this afternoon.
This season United's programme featured a spine image that built up on the perfect bound edge to form a picture of the club badge, and also featured guest columnists, competitions and a mixture of news and views from all areas of the club. The programme is designed by Paul Millard of Alchemy Creations and printed by Regal Litho.
The club will be presented with their award at the League Two play-off final at Wembley between Bradford City and Northampton.
Martin Brodetsky, United's programme editor said:
"This is obviously a great achievement for us and we're all very pleased. We'd like to congratulate all the other nominees because there were some great programmes produced in League 2 this season.
"We would like to thank everyone who makes the programme possible; the contributors, Paul at Alchemy, Peter and the team at Regal and of course all the fans who buy it every week."
Chris Williams, the club's Communications Manager said:
"We are immensely proud of the programme that we produce. It has got better with each passing season and it is great to know that our peers at other clubs appreciate the amount of hard work that has gone into it this season. It is a labour of love for every club and the aim now has to be to improve it still further for next season."
