Adam Chapman signs for Newport County
Oxford United can confirm that midfielder Adam Chapman last night signed for League 2 rivals Newport County for an undisclosed fee.Chapman, 23, joined Oxford from Sheffield United, initially on loan, in January 2009, signing a permanent deal at the end of that season. He went on to make 110 appearances for the U's, scoring seven goals, but spent the second half of last season on loan at Mansfield Town.
Chapman spent a month on loan with Newport in January 2012, during which he played five games for the then Blue Square Premier club.
