Oxford United are delighted to announce that Substitution Sponsor Textures Flooring will gift their branding space to The Joey Beauchamp Foundation for the remainder of the season.
Textures Flooring have been the club’s substitution sponsor for three seasons with prominent branding displayed on social media, the big screen, and over the PA at the stadium every time a substitution occurs.
Once they heard about the formation of The Joey Beauchamp Foundation, the local flooring firm felt this was a great opportunity to help an amazing cause, in memory of Joey.
Director at Textures Flooring, Andrew Hester commented on why Textures are donating this advertising space to the foundation:
“Many of our staff, myself included, grew up watching Joey at the Manor Ground. I had the honour of sitting at a table with Joey and Les Robinson for the 125-year dinner a few years ago; it was quite a night.
“I’ll never forget being on the train back from the Charlton game in London when the news broke of Joey’s passing. It was such devastating news that shocked the whole Oxford United and football community.
“So, when we heard about The Joey Beauchamp Foundation, we asked to switch our substitution sponsor branding to their name and logo. We were delighted when Luke Beauchamp and the foundation agreed.
“Mental health is sadly a rising part of life, and anything we can do as a business to raise awareness is a good thing.”
Founder of The Joey Beauchamp Foundation, Luke Beauchamp told us:
“We are so thankful for everyone who has contacted us and offered support since the launch of the foundation. We will be releasing a wider ‘thank you’ to everyone shortly as we work towards delivering the plans we have.
“The collective group of Oxford United Supporters at every level is key to all these plans. Andy, of Textures Flooring, has been discussing with us how he can help, and this is a great example of how the Oxford United business community comes together to support the club and ourselves.
“At this stage, promoting the foundation is a key part of our first steps to making everyone aware of its existence and how it fits into the plans of the club, community groups, supporters, and Oxfordshire residents. We look forward to sharing more plans on the fundraising opportunities and mental health campaigns so please follow our social media channels for more details.”
