Oxford United Women are pleased to announce that Tash Stephens will be re-joining the U’s from Chatham Town Women for the rest of the season.
Stephens scored seven times in 13 appearances for the Yellows in the second half of the 2022/23 campaign, an excellent record which contributed to Oxford’s title race.
A versatile forward, Stephens brings energy and experience to the side as they look to build on a seven-game winning streak in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division.
Stephens told OUFC.co.uk
“I’m really happy to be back. I had a fantastic time here at the end of last season and from a few training sessions I can feel the buzz around the place.
“I’m ready to hit the ground running and I just can’t wait to get going with what is a really exciting team.
“I’ve had some great conversations with Sam and I know what he wants from me so I’m looking forward to helping the team in any way I can.”
Manager Sam Rose said
“We’re pleased to welcome Tash back to the Club. She showed in her short spell with us under the previous management that she is a very good player.
“Her energy and quality with the ball, and her attitude towards the defending side of the game means she will be another positive addition to the squad. We are looking forward to getting the best out of her between now and the end of the season.
Tash will be available for this Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash against league leaders Portsmouth Women at Court Place Farm.
