There will be four unique digital cards to collect. To access these, look out for the QR codes available in the upcoming email* on Thursday 18th April, then at Friday’s match against Stevenage in the stadium concourses, on the Ox statue, and in the club shop.
There is no need to scan the QR code on the player's sleeve to enter the competition.
To unlock the chance to enter the fantastic competition, simply collect all four digital cards by scanning the QR codes with your smartphone. Once you’ve collected all four cards, you will be invited to enter the competition via a link to an Oxford United competition form. A winner will be chosen at random from all those who enter.
The club will notify the winner before 5pm on Monday 22nd April.
*Supporters are encouraged to update their ‘Club News’ Marketing Preference to be opted in, before Thursday at 2pm, to ensure they receive the email communication with the first digital card.
What are the digital cards?
IVY PASS leverages blockchain technology to enable a frictionless experience between Oxford United and fans.
The digital cards are not intended for the use that some people have in mind when they think about NFTs, even though it uses NFT technology collected as a reminder of attendance at the game. In fact, they are free, non-transferable and cannot be sold.
It is meant to be a memory for Oxford United fans - like a stamp - that you can collect to show that you were there, that you saw the game and (hopefully) had a good time, and for Oxford United to offer prizes to fans who show up.
Why does it have to be blockchain?
Because we believe fans should own their personal data.
How does IVY PASS’s fan experience work?
We have four Oxford United digital cards available for supporters to collect. The first will be in a club email on Thursday 18th April where supporters should simply click on the QR code provided. Please ensure you are opted into ‘Club News’ to receive the first digital card. The following three cards will be available to scan at the game on Friday 19th April against Stevenage. One QR code will be in the club shop, one will be at the Ox statue, and the final QR code will be in the stadium concourses.
After collecting the first digital card, supporters will be able to add a ‘Membership Card’ to their Apple or Google Wallet where they can store and view the main digital card, as well as revisit the digital platform to view all other cards collected.
Until a QR code is scanned, each digital card will be shown in grey on the digital platform. The card will ‘unlock’ itself showing you have collected that card.
Once all four cards have been unlocked, supporters can scroll down on the digital platform page and enter the competition to win a signed match worn shirt from the game, a signed 2023/24 replica shirt, a signed match ball, and a meet and greet at the Training Ground.
What is the benefit to me as a supporter?
