Oxford United will need their fans again this Saturday when they head for Stevenage at the start of a big week in Sky Bet League 1.
Every ticket has been snapped up in the away end and with the Family Away Day offering free travel for young fans it should be a tremendous atmosphere as the U’s look to build on a 3-0 win over Exeter that lifted them to second in the table.
“The performance was OK, not great on Saturday” two-goal Cameron Brannagan told iFollow “but the fans were a massive help and we found a way to win.
“Afterwards we were speaking about it and maybe last year we would have lost that game. We needed to dig deep to make sure we got the right result in the end and that, plus a clean sheet, was massive for us. We should be proud of ourselves for that.
“There were times in the second half where we were finding it tough and the fans saw that and got behind us like they always do. That was a big push for us and it helps us massively. We need to keep building on that and we need to keep that support going at Stevenage on Saturday and then in two big home games next week.”
Get behind Cameron and the boys next week when we welcome Shrewsbury Town and then Bristol Rovers to the Kassam Stadium.
