Mental Health Awareness Matchday: The Round-Up 

The U’s earned another valuable victory in Sky Bet League One against Bristol Rovers on Saturday afternoon, the club’s dedicated Mental Health Awareness fixture with YoungMinds raising awareness around mental ill-health.

Here is the round-up from our second activation of the campaign:

Mental Health Awareness and Advice  
Representatives from YoungMinds were present outside the South Stand ahead of the game against the Pirates speaking with supporters, handing out information, and offering an opportunity to talk to professionals about mental health advice.

U’s Players Keeping a Positive Mindset 
Players from Oxford United’s Men’s and Women’s Team had a chat about keeping a positive mindset and how they prepare and relax during their busy football schedules.

The Yellows In Yellow Pre-Match 
United’s players wore YoungMinds yellow warm-up tops to show their support for the charity and spread awareness of the message “You Are Not Alone” which was printed on the reverse of the shirts.

GamCare Presence 
Gambling support and awareness were available outside the South Stand ahead of the game, with representatives from GamCare speaking with supporters who may be struggling with gambling.
