After a postponement yesterday, Oxford United Women began to prepare for Plymouth Argyle Women on Sunday the 26th of March.
Following a 9AM pitch inspection at Grosvenor Vale yesterday morning, United’s top-of-the-table clash against Watford was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Information about the new date for the game will be available in due course.
United took the opportunity to train as they started to think about their penultimate home game of the Southern Premier Division campaign against Plymouth Argyle this weekend. Kick off is at the earlier time of 1PM.
The U’s have played Plymouth away from home, winning 2-0, and at Court Place Farm in the Women’s FA Cup, winning 3-0.
Manager Liam Gilbert said
“We want to play every week but it’s a situation that is out of our control and so we have to deal with it. Now, we’ve got to control the controllables and work hard to get ready for another big game against Plymouth.
“They’re fighting at the other end of the table and have picked up some good results so we’ll have to be very focussed and we know the threat they can provide.”
Join the U’s at Court Place Farm for the second last time this season to help them in their push for promotion. Tickets are priced at £6 for adults, £3 for over 60s and FREE for under 16s, and will be available on the gate.
