Oxford United Academy’s Scholars tested their teamwork and physical skills on a social day at Bicester Hotel and Spa yesterday.
The U19s were put through their paces during a number of activities, including an assault course, padel tennis, tug of war and golf at the broad range of facilities at the Hotel and Spa.
The social day was part of their pre-season preparation, which continues tomorrow when they face Coventry City, following a promising 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace in midweek.

“The boys were excellent, and we’d like to thank Bicester Hotel and Spa for their hospitality and fantastic facilities, it was a great day for staff and players alike.
“We particularly enjoyed seeing individuals transfer their skills & attributes in a different environment and the group embraced the social & technical challenges.
“It’s all part of bonding as a squad so everyone trusts each other as teammates and friends ahead of the upcoming season.
