Sports Therapist Moves On

Oxford United would like to wish Nathan Benjamin-Smith well as he leaves the club.

Nathan has been a key part of the medical team for the last four years, working as Sports Therapist and forming a very special bond with the players and the staff. He leaves to pursue his own, fast-growing, business and Head of Medical Amy Cranston told us:

“It’s sad to see Nathan leave because he has made a huge contribution and done and excellent job. As you would expect, he has done things absolutely the right way, he leaves on the best of terms, and we have been able to line up someone to replace him in due course, but they will have big shoes to follow.”

Nathan told us

“I had worked with Karl at MK before and when he asked me to join Oxford I was made to feel part of the team straight away. It is a very special club with some amazing people behind the scenes and it was a very tough decision to move on. But I have my own business and that is growing all the time so it just feels the right time to set off on a new adventure.

“I want to thank the players and all of the staff. I have formed friendships which will last a very long time and I am sure there are very exciting times ahead.”
