Enrique Tiamuna’s goal was not enough for the Under 18s on Saturday when they lost 2-1 at home to Luton Town in the Premier League Cup.
Tiamuna put the U’s ahead with a neat finish at the Bangkok Glass Training Centre but an equaliser late in the first half and a second goal early after the break gave The Hatters a win that leaves United, who had Gatlin O'Donkor sent off, needing a win in their last group game against Colchester to be in with a chance of going through to the knock-out stages
“Obviously we all hate losing any game” coach Pablo Haysham told us “but it was a proper cup tie and could have gone either way. Luton are a decent side but there really wasn’t too much in it and we had chances to win it ourselves.
“But we are still in the competition and now we focus on a league game tomorrow when we travel to Bristol Rovers.”
