Oxford United Women are delighted to announce that Cheryl Williams is to become their new Assistant Manager.
Cheryl has been a key player for the team over the last few years but having retired as a player at the end of the season she will now be able to pass on her experience to a new group, as she told us:
“After 25 years of playing football it’s a privilege to be appointed as the Assistant Manager. I’m excited to be part of supporting the development of our players on their football journey.”
Manager Liam Gilbert told us
“First of all I want to thank Tom Harley for his hard work and friendship and for all he has done for this team. Tom is moving on to a new challenge but as soon as we found that out we knew Cheryl would be the perfect fit. She is an excellent coach, she loves being part of the club and she has the absolute respect of everyone here.
“I know she will be a massive asset for us and we are already making plans ahead of what we hope will be another successful season.”
