U's and BBC Oxford Extend Partnership

Oxford United are delighted to announce that our partnership with BBC Oxford has been extended by a further three years.

The club has worked closely with the BBC Oxford Sports team for many years and it is a partnership which we believe works not just for the club and the BBC but also for the fans, as Communications Manager Chris Williams told us:

“I think fans really enjoy the way we work together and the fantastic job that BBC Oxford do to bring them news from the club. But it’s more than that - their coverage of the Women’s team and our community work is outstanding and matchdays just wouldn’t be the same without Jerome, Nathan, Nick and Rosie. That has grown since Lockdown and the diverse voices and opinions they feature really helps connect the supporters with the club.”

BBC Radio Oxford’s Sports Editor Jerome Sale said:

“The challenges of the last few years have brought the club and the radio station – and the Oxfordshire community - even closer together. We’ve adapted and innovated and will continue to do so. On the pitch Karl Robinson’s team has been consistently competitive and entertaining and we look forward to more of the same.”
