Oxford United Women Manager Liam Gilbert has been awarded the National League Manager of the Month award for December.
Three wins from three games and a place in the League Cup quarter finals meant that Liam was a worthy winner of the award which covers the North and South divisions, but he was typically keen to pass the credit on to those around him.
“It was a very positive month and it’s great for the club to gain national recognition but it’s far more about what we achieve as a group rather than one person” he told us.
“We had a good month, we are up to second in the league and we go in to the new year full of confidence, but we have done that together, as a really close group of staff and players. So many people work incredibly hard so the award is for all of us, players, fans and staff.”
